Love Story

Where to begin..

Grant and I met on September 5, 2010 at a friend's house. I walked downstairs and this tall, blonde, and handsome guy got up, hugged me and pretended to know me :). He sure new how to make an impression. That night I couldn't take my eyes off of him and knew there was something special about this one. We ended up talking all night long but nothing came of it. He left and I thought that was it.

A few days later while I was at work, I got a text that said, hey, this is grant..At first I honestly was so confused, who was grant? Then it hit me. I was pretty stoked but couldn't really text at the moment. From there on we pretty much talked all day every day. Me living in Provo and Grant living in Bountiful made it so there wasn't much face to face contact.

In all honesty, there wasn't much growing other than a fantastic friendship. Grant's friend actually asked me on a date and I accepted. We went shooting up in Bountiful and this is where our story definitely took a turn for the better. For some reason Grant and I were just drawn to each other. I was on a date with his friend and he on a date with mine, but we just couldn't stay away from one another. After the date, I was driving back down to Provo and Grant sent me another text saying, we should have switched dates. I knew this was the beginning of something but in all honesty, I wasn't sure I was ready for a 'relationship' status with anyone.

By this point we were still just great friends and started planning a trip up to Portland and Seattle for fall break. We really enjoyed the company and got a long so well. On October 1st, I headed up to Syracuse for a corn maze with all of my friends. Grant found out I would be up in Davis County and talked me into coming over after the maze. I agreed. That night, we stayed up till 4 talking, cuddling and laughing together. I remember thinking how easy it seemed. I really just loved being around him. It was this night that he kissed me. Laid one right on me :) I was a giddy little school girl and I knew that there was no turning back now.

Grant finally asked me on a date and we went to the BYU football game. We had a blast then headed over to Salt City Burger for dinner. We were laughing after the date how comfortable we must feel with one another because not a word was said during dinner, we were too busy scarfing down our food. In our defense, we were starving because it took us two hours to get out of traffic from the game.

After our date, we became "official" on 10/10/10. Then headed on our little vacation. Feelings just continued to grow. For the next couple months we definitely had a rocky relationship. I was still so unsure of where my feeling were and I knew he wanted to get married. After many break ups and broken hearts we realized we just couldn't live without each other. We got engaged on 4/22/11 and were married on August 11, 2011. Best decision we ever made.
